1960's Leap Year Dance Party
11 Fountain St, Framingham MA
Pre-Game Rock Show
11:00AM for 1:00PM Game vs. Minnesota Twins
Jet Blue Park, Fort Myers FL
We grew up listening to the great Rock and Blues music of the 1960's and are now recreating this music in a uniquely classic style. As youngsters we played in high school bands and on stages of the Metro-west circuit and Cape Cod clubs.
We played in London, Boston, Nashville and Las Vegas and competed in battles of the bands and backyard parties. We penned songs, played gigs and made recordings – all while working full time careers as firefighters, dispatchers, lawyers, teachers and technology professionals.
Larry Bee & the Buzz are bringing this music back to life with the original classic sound of the 60’s and are ready to take you on a magical ride back through one of the most epic periods in music history!

Larry Bee and the Buzz deliver inspired performances of early Rock & Roll classics.
As young kids we were all inspired by the great early bands and performers like Elvis, The Stones, The Young Rascals, The Animals, Shadows of Knight, and classic hits like 96 Tears, Little Girl and Gloria.
Modern technology and the pure fun of making music has enabled us to build a song book of musical nuggets that visits the past in a new and unique style, with a classic vintage sound and the youthful energy of our teenage years.
Larry Bee and the Buzz harvest the sweetest nuggets of Rock and Roll and serve them up for your listening pleasure, promising to bring you on a highly enjoyable and satisfying ride into a period of musical history that never grows old.
LARRY “BEE” BASTIEN (LEAD VOCALS) Larry sang with The Witches Brew, the Last Judgment Band and Alien Crabs. Larry’s powerful vocals and pure musical passion elicit the energy of a young Mick Jagger or Eric Burdon. He’s not just singing the song, he IS the song!
MICKEY GRASSO (LEAD GUITAR) Mickey played with The Young Souls, The Nomads, Clyde Blackstreet and the Blues Renaissance and is currently performing with The Missy Maxfield Project. Mickey is the musical nucleus of the band, playing vintage Fender guitars with incredible precision, purity, tone and that classic twang.
MIKE FERRO (BASS) Mike has played with The Tetra’s and many other local bands. Mike anchors the Buzz rhythm section with that classic thump and tone required to recreate musical history!
TOM BRODEUR (DRUMS) Tom has performed in countless bands including Dave and the Essex, Ice, Moonfast, The Guitars, The British Yankees and Fortune Corporate Battle of the Bands finalists The Dealmakers, with whom he earned “Best Drummer” honors at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "The... beat elite!"
PAUL IZZO ESQUIRE (KEYBOARDS/GUITAR and VOCALS) Paul is an accomplished singer, songwriter, bassist, keyboard player and an extreme fan of the rock and roll classics. His Woodstock tribute band Lovefest plays to delighted audiences all across New England. His keyboard touch provides that classic vintage sound of the 60’s!
The Buzz played the pre-game show at Jet Blue Park in Fort Myers on March 16th. 60's hits were the theme of the day as the crowed danced to Dirty Water, Surfer Joe and Wipe Out. We had special guest Rick Provo from Thundertrain on bass.
And as a special treat we shared the stage with the official 2004 World Series Trophy!
The show was a huge sucess and we will be back next spring for another appearance at Jet Blue Park.
A great gig for a great cause! The Buzz opened the show early Sunday morning for headliners Elvis Monroe. Over 1500 people and hundreds of amazing trucks were on display. Here's a sample tune from this wonderful show...Why Do I Cry by Barry and the Remains.
